Personal Data

Personal Information is defined as any information related to an individual who can be identified, either directly or indirectly, by identifiers including, but not limited to, name, address, identification number, company affiliation, occupation, industry, region/country, reasons for contacting Wolf, topics you are interested in and any other information you may provide to us. It also includes data that may infer the physical, physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural or social identity of an individual.

When you register for an event, Wolf may collect additional information (online or offline) in relation to the event such as recordings or photographs.

Collection and Use of Personal Information

We collect and use your personal information with your consent to provide you with access to the website, communications, where we have a legitimate business interest or other legal basis for such collection and use. The personal information you submit to us may be used to manage our relationship with you, including any of your requests, to customize or improve the website or related services offered to you.

If you register or login to a Wolf website using a third party single sign-in service that authenticates your identity and connects to your social media login information (e.g. LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter), we will collect any information or content needed for the registration or login that you permitted the social media provider to share with Wolf such as name and email address.

We may also use your personal information for marketing purposes, or to send you promotional materials or communications regarding services provided by Wolf that we feel may be of interest to you. We may also contact you to seek feedback on services provided by Wolf or for market or other research purposes. Your personal information may also be used to protect our rights or property and that of our clients. You may at any time request that we discontinue sending you communications, emails or other correspondence by sending an email to [email protected]. 

Any personal information collected by Wolf with be used in the manner outlined in this privacy statement. Your personal information will not be used for other purposes without obtaining your permission, unless otherwise required or permitted by law or professional standards.

Disclosure of information to third parties

We may provide your personal information to third parties (and their subsidiaries and affiliates) in order to support our internal processes, provide you with information that could be of interest to you, conduct market or other research, to respond to your requests or inquiries; or where those parties handle information on our behalf. This privacy notice only addresses the use and disclosure of information collected by Wolf through use of the website and other interactions with Wolf relating to a communication. The website may facilitate certain links to third-party websites that are not operated under Wolf’s privacy practices. These third-party organizations have their own privacy statements and personal information collection, use and disclosure practices. Wolf encourages you to review each site’s privacy policy before disclosing any personally identifiable information.

This website may also host various blogs, forums, wikis and other social media applications or services that allow you to share content with other users (collectively Social Media Applications). Any personal information or other information that you contribute to any Social Media Application can be read, collected and used by other users of that Social Medial Application over whom we have little or no control. Wolf is not responsible for any third party’s use, misuse or misappropriation of any personal information or other information that you contribute to any Social Media Application.

Information retention

We retain personal information as necessary for the duration of the purpose outlined in this Privacy Notice. Notwithstanding the duration of the purpose, we may retain your information if necessary to comply with our legal or professional obligations, enforce our agreements, or resolve disputes.

Information security

We have in place reasonable commercial standards of technology and operational security to protect all personal information provided by users with respect to Communications, or via the Website from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration or destruction.

Children’s privacy protection

We understand the importance of protecting children’s online privacy. Communications and the Website are not designed for or intentionally targeted at children under the age of 16. It is not our policy to intentionally collect or maintain information about anyone under the age of 16. If we obtain actual knowledge that we have received such information, we will take steps to delete it.

This privacy notice supplements Wolf’s Privacy Notice to explain the categories of personal data that we collect and how we collect and use personal data consistent with California and Virginia privacy laws. This supplemental notice should be read in connection with Wolf’s Privacy Notice. 

Information We Collect, Use and Disclose 

Wolf collects information that identifies, relates to, describes, references, is capable of being associated with, or could reasonably be linked, directly or indirectly, with a particular consumer or device (personal information). This information is collected in order to carry out the business purposes you engaged Wolf to perform and other commercial purposes. In particular, we collected the following categories of personal information about our consumers:

Your legal rights

You have certain rights and choices regarding our use and disclosure of personal information about you: 

  1. Access – You have the right to request, twice in a 12-month period, information from us regarding the categories and specific pieces of personal information we collect, use, disclose and/or share about you during the past 12 months. This includes: 
                     a. The categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you 
                     b. The categories of sources from which we collected the personal information 
                     c. The business or commercial purpose for which we collected or sold the personal information 
                     d. The categories of third parties with whom we shared the personal information
                     e. The categories of personal information about you that we sold or disclosed for a business purpose, and the categories of third parties wo whom we sold or disclosed that information for a business purpose 
  2. Correction – You have the right to request the correction of certain personal information, taking into account the nature of the personal information and the purposes of processing the personal information. We may correct or delete information as allowed by law. Exceptions apply. 
  3. Deletion – You have the right to request the deletion of personal information. Exceptions apply.
  4. Opt-out – You have the right to opt-out of the sale and/or sharing of personal information; and 
  5. Non-Discrimination. You have the right not to be discriminated against for exercising any of the above consumer rights. 

Exercising Rights Under State Privacy Laws

You may contact us at anytime to exercise your rights under the law. As part of processing your request, we require you to provide certain personal data about you in order to verify your identity in accordance with the law. This information includes your first and last name, email address, physical address, telephone number, and description of relationship to Wolf, but may also include additional information based on the nature of your request and your relationship with us. 

Additionally, you may designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf. In order to comply with your request, we will require the personal data referenced above to be used for identity verification purposes, as well as the name, email address, and telephone number of your authorized agent. 

After we verify your identity and the validity of your request, we will take the following action free of charge: 

  1. in the case of an access request, provide you any required personal data covering the twelve (12)-month period preceding your request; and 
  2. in the case of a deletion request, delete personal data that we have collected about you, subject to our right to maintain your personal data for specific purposes permitted under CCPA.

We will work to comply with your verified request within forty-five (45) days, but may extend that period when reasonably necessary, in which case we will notify you. 

California Residents

  • Limit the use or Disclosure of Sensitive Personal Information. You have the right to request that we limit use or disclose of Sensitive Personal Information as defined by California law. We do not disclose Sensitive Personal Information beyond such authorization.
  • Do Not Share My Personal Information. You have the right to opt-out of our sharing of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. Wolf, however, does not sell or share personal information for these purposes. 

Virginia Residents

  • Opt-Out of Targeted Advertising. Wolf does not engage in advertising on other third-parties digital properties. 
  • Appeal a Refusal to Take Action. Virginia law requires that we establish a process for a consumer to appeal our refusal to take action on certain requests. You may request an appeal through any of the methods available to exercise your privacy rights under law. If you are not satisfied with the outcome of the process, you may contact the Virginia Attorney General to submit a complaint.
