How Peak Organic Optimized Sales & Inventory Management With Wolf’s Data Solutions Team
Wolf’s Data Solutions team partnered with Peak Organic Brewing Company, a craft brewery based in Portland, Maine. Peak Organic was spending significant time manually adjusting and manipulating data from their legacy system, then entering it into Google Sheets to manage sales tracking, projections, and inventory. Their legacy system lacked the detailed analysis and monitoring they needed, leading to skewed data due to out-of-stock periods or one-time sales bursts that weren’t properly accounted for. This led to their partnership with Data Solutions.
Challenge
Peak Organic Brewing Company faced several challenges with its existing manual data processes. The company was spending significant time downloading data from its legacy system, making manual adjustments, and then entering it into Google Sheets to manage sales tracking, projections, and inventory. This process was not only time-consuming but also prone to errors.
Peak Organic needed a system that could automatically import and adjust data without requiring daily manual input. Their current setup lacked the necessary insights to properly monitor inventory, track distributors, and account for regional sales variations.
Without real-time data or visibility into sales performance by region and associate, Peak Organic was missing critical information that could help optimize operations and inventory management
Solution
Wolf’s Data Solutions team collaborated closely with Peak Organic to design a customized solution addressing their needs. The project started with a thorough gathering of requirements from Peak Organic’s team, ensuring all challenges were documented in measurable detail.
Once the scope was clearly defined, the team automated the manual data processes and eliminated the need for copying and pasting information from the legacy system. This automation saved time and improved accuracy.
The Data Solutions team also built a robust data model and database to house and manage the data previously stored in Google Sheets. To provide Peak Organic with better operational insights, the team onboarded InsightOut, a data management platform with an intuitive user interface (UI) that displayed real-time inventory alerts and sales statistics by region and sales associate.
This new platform empowered Peak Organic’s team to easily access critical sales and inventory data. This enabled them to make more informed decisions based on data they can trust and streamline their operations.
