Wolf Leads Whiterabbit Through Cybersecurity Challenges & Build Programs for SOC 2
Whiterabbit.ai is a Silicon Valley-based startup that aims to increase the accuracy and rate of early detection for breast cancer screening utilizing artificial intelligence (AI). Whiterabbit was in need of a more robust cybersecurity program, and wanted to obtain a SOC 2 Type 1 and work their way up to a SOC 2 Type 2 – that’s where Wolf & Company’s vCISO service came into play.
Challenge
Whiterabbit.ai sought to reexamine and revamp its cybersecurity posture and infrastructure, having identified that it had gaps in its cybersecurity programs and lacked a comprehensive security strategy that was vital to its business operations.
Wolf & Company’s vCISO services were contracted to build out and enhance the AI organization’s security programs as well as work toward obtaining a SOC 2 Report. Creating a cybersecurity strategy and a security, risks, and controls committee was paramount.
Solution
Whiterabbit.ai and Wolf conducted regular meetings with members of the IT (information technology) staff, call center, research and development, and other departments to understand the business processes and where the security gaps existed. We formulated an information security strategy and began building the necessary programs. This included a complete cybersecurity gap assessment and gap assessments for other business processes. Wolf then prioritized remediation strategies for Whiterabbit’s security posture, implementing numerous information security and cybersecurity programs with policy governance, repeatable processes, and ongoing oversight of critical security elements.
